We Build Models

Thanks for visiting. If you're looking to have a great model built, you've come to the right place. The Modeller's Workshop is ready for any model-building challenge. Whether you are looking for a diorama for a railroad or a small model for a birthday gift, we can help. Of course, as you can see, our specialty is building those wonderful Pocher models but we are more than happy building a steamship or an airplane. Our current direction is into building airplanes and using robotics to steer them.

Yes, we built the two Alfas in the picture on the right but, no, we did not build all those boats.



We build to order and we build according to client specifications. Our most popular building method is what we call Art Quality Construction which means we use our design experience to build a unique model that looks great but may not be historically correct. We are interested in helping our clients get a nice work of art at an affordable price. We feel that a model makes a wonderful impression in a work or home environment and is a nice change from the usual art on a wall or bronze sculpture.



This Bugatti crankshaft model includes three piston rings on each piston, with ring gaps, just like on the real car. The engine block was built with wet pistons and the model represents this quite faithfully with its lovely steel cylinders. When all this is put together, it all disappears. Much of what we do will never be seen except with pictures we take along the way to show our clients the progress of the construction.
